Confessions of a Shopaholic

I've been good.

Really.

I am surrounded by glitz, glam, expensive things, purses, necklaces...SIGH:: I've only been here a week and already I want them all.

I know. I don't need them - I WANT THEM. Why then, is it so hard to distinguish between my NEEDS and WANTS?

Does Carrie really need her $300 shoes in "sex in the city?" No - but they make her feel pretty and important. Is it sad that a 30 something woman (and not just on this tv show...this could be any woman) needs an object to make her feel pretty?

I don't think so.

Now if you need to buy 10 pairs of shoes in one day for "society to accept you" - I think you might have a problem. I just have to keep reminding myself that I don't need all the clothes and accessories here just yet - I mean...the world can only take one Paris Hilton at a time :)

Instead, I just imagine how good I'll look with all that stuff later....Alex has become more and more excited with my love of window shopping. It's surprisingly cheap ;)
