Political Icecream?

Alex went out for a snack last night and found this at the 7-11 in southampton.

Heard of Stephen Colbert? (or Cole-behr, as he pronounces it) He's a political satirist whose show usually follows John Stewarts show on comedy central. I can't tell if he's really a Republican - but he certainly plays an uptight one on his show. He has actual members of the government on as guests. They even laugh at him.

Give this guy a try. Today he liken Bush's plan for the nation to Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown - and it strangely made sense.

Maybe even give his ice cream a try too ;)

I think Colbert is about as Republican as Jon Stewart ... but he is funny.

SOMEONE had better bring humor to the global and national political situations. Ann Garrels had an NPR report this morning on the 19- and 20-year-olds working in the neighborhoods around Baghdad, gathering intelligence, reassuring the Iraqis of American security. Where are our older and (not necessarily) wiser generals? Nowhere near those hot spots.
