French laundry - ever heard of it? No, it's not a super suave laundry mat. It's the name of a super suave restaurant.
Walking past the Red Bar today, which is a block from my house, I thought of all the weird restaurant names I know. I've started to remember a few more, now that I'm engaged to a chef. There's Blackbird, Butters....okay, maybe that's all I know - but still, wouldn't you LOVE to have the job of naming a restaurant where there's so much color, conversation and great food? It would be almost as great as naming ice cream or perfume.
Hmm...wonder if Alex will let me have a say in the name of his restaurant...:P
