They call them "Ugly Dolls".True, they aren't a beautiful porcelain doll with golden curls and a straw bonnet. They have two snaggle tooths instead of pursed, pink lips.
Their luminous eyes are perpendicular to one another and aren't baby blue. And they certainly don't blink.
But......
They can still be hugged and should be welcomed guests at play dates and tea parties.
They love kisses and naps. And romps out in the park and the sunshine. They don't mind getting dirty or mussed....and will even take a turn entertaining the dog for an afternoon.
Can the prettiest porcelain doll do that? Naw...

You should have the Jane Austen Madame Alexander doll talk to them to bolster their self-confidence.
They look like something out of "South Park".
As I recall, your porcelain dolls went EVERYWHERE!
