The idea started out as mint in a garden. A garden that was being landscaped as Jesse and I spoke outside of her house on Leverette street.

Three people, a bit skint.

A lazy, hot Arkansas summer evening.

Mojitos. Why not? Good company, conversation and a fresh batch of mint, ready to share. Al and I brought Vermont cheese spread as a hostess gift.

After the mint leaves were crushed, the cards were brought out, cards that smell of pipe tobacco. These had belonged to Jesse's grandpa. They looked well worn and loved.

.......The Mojiots tasted like summer.
