April 2007 - I found myself in Sag Harbor New York - the land of sea breezes and huge summer homes. In order to stay in touch with friends and family, I started a blog about my adventures there. My fiancee (now husband) and I moved to Arkansas in the fall of 2007. Since then the blog has detailed my life...as a yankee in the south, a runner, an actor, a writer and an administrative assistant. It's been a wild ride and continues to be a grand adventure...:)

I swore I wouldn't do it.
I love people and lots of 'em, but huge huge crowds are just hard to maneuver through, especially when you're small.
Somehow, however, Al and I found ourselves making our way down to Dickson Street to take in the annual Blues, Bikes and BBQ celebration.
The gleam of all the metal was blinding at first and the roar of the motorcycles was deafening. Dickson street looked like it was ready to bust at the seams with the amount of people and bikes that were trying to move up and down it. A mixture of fried foods, leather and exhaust fumes filled the air.
We met up with one of Al's old friend, Matt and his girlfriend Katrina at a cute little bar just off of Dickson. There we could sip drinks, and watch the activities from a distance.
My friend Jesse was an intern for BBBQ, an organization that takes a year to plan the September festival. The whole thing goes to support local charities and apparently there were some pretty big names that came this year to perform. You music buffs might know the Almond Brothers? I'm a little behind on my blues musicians. BB KING is the closest I can get.
