April 2007 - I found myself in Sag Harbor New York - the land of sea breezes and huge summer homes. In order to stay in touch with friends and family, I started a blog about my adventures there. My fiancee (now husband) and I moved to Arkansas in the fall of 2007. Since then the blog has detailed my life...as a yankee in the south, a runner, an actor, a writer and an administrative assistant. It's been a wild ride and continues to be a grand adventure...:)

It's starting to be frigidly cold waiting for the bus.
Students stand in a line, hunching over, in the vain hope that their backpacks will shield them from the wind. But it's to no avail. The wind finds all the little cracks and crevices in our clothes and shoes and PUSHES through them.
Some people buy coffee from the nearby convenience store, for the soul purpose of warming their hands while they wait. I know this, because they carry the beverage onto the bus and never drink it.
The bus, when it comes, is usually nice and toasty. Most people's stops are near the mall or downtown Fayetteville, which are near the end of the route. They have time to suck in all the warmness they can before venturing out into the cold again.
