April 2007 - I found myself in Sag Harbor New York - the land of sea breezes and huge summer homes. In order to stay in touch with friends and family, I started a blog about my adventures there. My fiancee (now husband) and I moved to Arkansas in the fall of 2007. Since then the blog has detailed my life...as a yankee in the south, a runner, an actor, a writer and an administrative assistant. It's been a wild ride and continues to be a grand adventure...:)

Today is the day when our 44th president gets sworn in.
It should be a good day.
I first heard of Obama when he announced his intention to run for US president. I saw his smiling face on countless websites and magazines. His expression was genuine and his eyes were clear and open. Before even knowing what his policies were, I knew that he looked promising.
Since then, Obama's race, religion and general background has been dissected and laid bare for all to see. Even now, people are writing letters, asking him to keep to his promises. What people fail to remember sometimes, is that he is still a man.
He makes mistakes, just like everyone else.
He has good days and bad days.
He misspells words and forgets peoples names.
But...
He is a good man. A man with a vision, with hope and with faith. He has a desire to help - I think that's enough. He will take that desire and do what he can while he's in office and then leave a legacy for the next president.
So welcome, Mr. president. I believe in you.
