April 2007 - I found myself in Sag Harbor New York - the land of sea breezes and huge summer homes. In order to stay in touch with friends and family, I started a blog about my adventures there. My fiancee (now husband) and I moved to Arkansas in the fall of 2007. Since then the blog has detailed my life...as a yankee in the south, a runner, an actor, a writer and an administrative assistant. It's been a wild ride and continues to be a grand adventure...:)

So it hit me today...
I'm sooo not the typical 25 year old girl.
I don't go out much...and when I do, its usually to an artsy coffeeshop to read or visit with girlfriends. Saturdays aren't for sleeping - and I try to make as many trips to the library as I can. I prefer quiet, friendly wine and cheese parties to loud bars. I don't know how to play pool. I"m glad to say that I've only had beer twice my life and it was when I was over the age of 21....and all of this ISN'T because I was a partier when I was a sixteen year old and have had enough of that stuff.
I'm just like this.
Sooo....is that normal?
Of course. I'm happy. I'm healthy and living well. I was talking to a friend today and told him "he needs to do what makes him happy". Instead of blending into the crowd, I make my own path. Why not? Sure - you can have a variety of friends...but when it comes down to what to do on a Friday night...you've got to stick to your own groove.

I definitely hear ya! I have never been in to the party scene either. Even though I'm a family woman now, which is also rare for 25 year olds, I'd still be having weekend nights in with those close to me instead of going out in the clubs and all that jazz. Yay for kindred spirits. :)
