"Where are you going?" he asked.

"Just out to the car". I hid my bare feet.

"But it's raining..."

"It'll just take a sec...oh come on...you know I'm too old to play in puddles. I won't come back soaked..."

What he didn't know is that it's universally acknowledged that you are never ever ever too old to play in puddles. Ah well. Can't know everything ;)
