In the day light, the trees surrounding my aparment complex look sad and decrepit (still nursing their wounds from the ice storm)....but at night, they are fierce and merciless. I feel safe and cozy in my apartment, but always give a peak outside to make sure that they're firmly rooted to the ground ;)
