When I was in college, and a little bit after, I used to have pictures and cards hung all over my wall. Their corners would be secured by copious amounts of scotch tape. A couple might be framed and hung - the nail holes to be filled in with white out or caulk later.

As I've gotten older, I've noticed how my decorating style has changed. Now my photos are fewer, and displayed differently. Also, the vast majority of them aren't of me and friends smiling but of places that I've been.

I guess maybe I was afraid that the memories would fade if I didn't have them in front of me. But I know now that that is so not true. Memories of friends and fun times stay with me always.
