April 2007 - I found myself in Sag Harbor New York - the land of sea breezes and huge summer homes. In order to stay in touch with friends and family, I started a blog about my adventures there. My fiancee (now husband) and I moved to Arkansas in the fall of 2007. Since then the blog has detailed my life...as a yankee in the south, a runner, an actor, a writer and an administrative assistant. It's been a wild ride and continues to be a grand adventure...:)

When I was a kid, we'd always get our Christmas tree from Menards. I think the Optimists....something were selling them.
Since college, I've always bought fake tree. I'll be honest. I miss the piny smell that always filled our house back in Marion. A mixture of tinsel and needles would cover the living room floor and we had to make sure our puppy, Treasure, wouldn't ingest them.
Today, Al and I set up our first Christmas tree as a married couple. It's fake, white and already had lights on it when we bought it. We funded corporate America with our purchase (walmart) and the only smell it emits is plastic in nature. Despite all that, I'm happy. And it's truly beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. :)
