Every morning, I find it hard to leave home.

Okay, I've been that way since I was a kid. My mom and I actually had a recent conversation where she reminded me how I used to talk to the school counselor about how hard it was, being away from home. He said to count down the hours until I was back there again.

Of course my home now is with my husband. It's a sweet place, quiet and quaint. My animals are snoozing (as is Alex!) when I'm up and about in the mornings. I get done with running, make coffee and breath it all in for a second before rushing off to work.

I guess maybe it's more those moments of clarity that are so fleeting that I find hard to let go of.
