It's amazing to me how similar human dogs are.

I know that my childhood dog, Treasure, used to give me the same looks that my mother, sister or teachers would give me. "Really, Kate?" "Stop that!" "You're annoying me!" "I love you!" ;)

Seeing my dog with Al's childhood dogs, Goonie and Bear, this weekend really brought home that fact. Sure, the dogs communicate in a different way than we do. But they feel things deeply, are thoughtful and are devoted.

I'm surprised how sometimes scarce those traits are in humans ;)
