One of the many things I love about Fayetteville is the local restaurants.

Hjem is a new restaurant, recently opened, just off of Center street in the Fayetteville town square. It has 5 tables, all made out of wood, and has soft, intimate lighting. The menu is simple, printed on sepia colored paper and uses adjectives to describe the dishes that almost melt in your mouth.

There is no vegetarian dish (I had to order the blackberry salad with pine nuts instead of bacon bits) which is something that they might want to work on. Other than that, the whole meal was a treat, from the goat cheese appetizers to the coffee served in a French press during dessert :)
