April 2007 - I found myself in Sag Harbor New York - the land of sea breezes and huge summer homes. In order to stay in touch with friends and family, I started a blog about my adventures there. My fiancee (now husband) and I moved to Arkansas in the fall of 2007. Since then the blog has detailed my life...as a yankee in the south, a runner, an actor, a writer and an administrative assistant. It's been a wild ride and continues to be a grand adventure...:)

Christmas eve.
When I was kid, we'd open our family's presents tonight and Santa's tomorrow morning.
As I grew older, we still kept that tradition but added church in there too.
Now that I'm married, Al and I either spend this holiday with my family up north, or his family here in Arkansas. Tonight Al has to work at his restaurant (I'm wondering if anyone will get proposed to...or something else exciting happen), and then tomorrow we'll head off to Eurkea Springs to spend time with his family.
I kind of like spending this evening alone with my dog....it's almost if I'm watching everyone from afar (even though I can't see them!) and thoughtfully mull over their traditions. I've grabbed a few last gifts and am now all set.
And I've made sure to wish everyone I see a "happy holiday" :)
XOXOXOX
