Morning edition was as much a part of my household growing up, as the whole wheat waffles my dad made for breakfast.
What was the wonderful service that provided news and interesting stories about writers, politicians that all other news sources seem to skip over? NPR (-: Scott Simon was a household name to me.
This week, the house voted to cut funding for NPR. Now this moves onto the senate. This can't pass...it JUST CAN'T. I rely on NPR so much for news and amazing information on art, history, music, science....nothing can match NPR. I hope the busy politicians in DC realize this..

Amen, Sister! You actually introduced me to NPR! I first heard it playing in your house when I played there. I only just rediscovered it in my adult years. The puzzler is now a Sunday-Morning ritual for Sam and I. And what would I do without my classical music as I'm getting ready for bed?
eeee!!!!!!! I remember!!! Lord, we were such rebels :)
