Staying connected

I know they're annoying. I know they're loud.

I know people forget to turn them off in movies, restaurants and in all general public places way too often.

But regardless of how insane they might make you feel - my cell phone is my best friend :)

I've moved from Chicago to Nebraska, from Nebraska to Michigan, from Michigan to Champaign and from Champaign to the Hamptons in the past year. My address has changed more than my blood pressure has in the past ten years....but luckily, people can just ring me up on my cell to talk, inform or just say "Kate, I love and miss you."

Without the little plastic box in my purse, I would have to resort to email or letters all the time. Sometimes I just need to hear someone's voice other than my own or Alex's ;) Thank goodness for my cell ;)

We're certainly glad to stay in contact with you, too! Glad you get a good signal. I remember Brownville's being iffy.

My phone works in the deep basement of the restaurant. Al needed to check the fuse box - his works inside the restaurant, so we had to switch phones ;)
