I have a new love.
He came from the 70's and is small and back and his name begins with an "M".
Mr. Minolta.
While digging around in Al's parent's closet this fall, I came across an old camera (see the one I am holding in the above picture) that looked intriguing. It wasn't digital. It was a 1973 Minolta SRT-303/102 35mm SLR Camera that Al's sister Rachel had used in a photography class in High School. He let me take it. I felt as thought I had just opened a treasure chest!
The treasure chest was more difficult to open then I had imagined. It was very easy to load the film in the Minolta the wrong way, which I did several times. This resulted in ruined film and frustration on my part.
After a little research, I successfully got a roll of film developed. The top two pictures are on a very low aperture setting, therefore much lighter and fuzzier. The one in the lower right hand corner was taken with an aperture of 30. Much sharper.
So yes, I have a new love.
