We envy animals too much.
When my life gets hectic or stressful, I sometimes wish I was a little squirrels running up the hill on the U of A campus, gathering nuts. Or I a puppy, barking and straining at the leash as their owners walk them.
And I get jealous.
Shouldn't I have such a carefree life?
I would LOVE to take a cat nap all day. Or catch Frisbees.
But then I realize that most of the animals I see are pets. They are taken care of. Fed, bathed and pampered. Animals in the wild don't have such a luxurious life.
So on the days when I wish I was a kitty- I remind myself that I probably wouldn't have gotten to choose what KIND of kitty I was. With my luck, I would've ended up as a Bob Cat.
