Where you can sit out on the deck, sipping on Mai Tais and ask for another towel to dab your damp neck
Guess again.
This view is what patrons get to experience on the balcony in the back of the Fayetteville Public library. And no Mai Tais - but you can bring out an iced coffee from the library cafe if you want to.
It's easy to while away many many hours here - either purusing the stacks of books and magazines, shuffling through the CDs or printing off materials in the computer lab. But put all of that aside, the view is just amazing. Distracting even. I've tried to sit in the large reading area near the computer lab to read or study and my eyes would keep shifting towards the window, just to gaze.
On stormy days, the mountains looks angry and agressive. The clouds are dark and brooding. But still, I can't stop looking out the window at the space beyond the library. It's where I imagine Lizzy Bennet would go walking, Catherine and Heathcliff would play as children or Hester would go and hide her shame.
Why would you go anywhere else?
