Last night I attended a "couch warming party".

(what a pun, as we were all literally sitting on the couch, warming it!)

My friend Jesse's mother bought her a fancy "grown up" couch in honor of her birthday . The original plan was to have a cheese and wine party with many guests, sitting on and around the couch, admiring it as the room's new addition.

But instead, a couple of texts were sent, and Jesse, Diana and I were the soul attendees.

It was nice though. Friendly conversation, a little red wine, laughter and catching up. All so important in my life right now. We discussed boys, Halloween, work, school...politics.

Find an excuse to have a "couch warming party". It's well worth it.
