The Sonoma County Museum has three galleries.
Two were in use this week. The upstairs is full of acrylics by Edwin Deakin, a man known for his European and Californian landscapes from the 19th century.

The main gallery houses the Chuck Closes exhibit -art that involves daguerreotypes and painting. Yesterday, Al and I went to the opening party of the Close exhibit. There were artsy people talking about artsy things, beer, wine, and lovely food. I was asked to leave my camera at the front desk, so this is the only shot I got of the celebration.

I'm glad that the arts are still alive in California.

We head back to Arkansas tomorrow. I hope to sleep through most of the plane ride....
