You know you're a photographer when you have no qualms about bringing a large, intimidating camera into a fancy bar.

The bar in Equus has a happy hour where drinks and small plates of food are served for very cheap. Al and I decided to check it out. Al had just talked me into getting some lens extensors (a way to get macro quality photos without getting a full fledged maco lens). Believe me, I'm still working on the quality.

I started snapping away at drink rims, menus and food. Suddenly one of the patrons asked me "What are you doing??"

I looked up at him and said "I'm a photographer."

"Oh!" He winked and went on eating and sipping his beer.

That'll be my response from now on.
